MANIFESTO DELLA FESTA DEL LUPO di Brunella Pernigotti
Noi, creature della Natura e nella Natura,
noi che viviamo immersi in un ambiente contaminato e manipolato,
ci inchiniamo al cospetto della saggezza antica della Terra, davanti alla sua potente capacità di regolarsi e rigenerarsi.
Riconosciamo alla Terra e a tutte le sue manifestazioni, che siano animali, vegetali o minerali, il diritto naturale e giuridico di esistere.
Noi, in quanto esseri umani, non siamo qui per proteggere ciò che in realtà non ci appartiene né ora né mai, ma dobbiamo sviluppare maggiore devozione e rispetto per la Terra, che è nostra madre, che è nostra casa.
Noi della Festa del Lupo crediamo in una scienza che non proclama dogmi, ma che è costante ricerca e domanda, dubbio e curiosità. Pensiamo che la scienza debba aiutare tutti noi a creare collaborazione, unione e mai competizione, accompagnandoci in un nuovo percorso di consapevolezza e di risveglio delle coscienze.
Crediamo e individuiamo nel lupo il simbolo totemico della natura selvaggia, libera e forte. Il lupo, come ogni predatore all’apice della catena trofica, è l’immagine dell’ambiente in salute, è lo strumento perfetto che la Natura usa per ribilanciare, per riempire o ridurre spazi inutili, è la sapiente medicina per curare il nostro pianeta malato. Il lupo, inoltre, è un animale a cui l’essere umano è debitore di stragi e persecuzioni ingiuste e che ora merita di essere conosciuto e apprezzato per il suo ruolo fondamentale nella conservazione dell’ecosistema in cui vive.
Per tutto questo, noi ci impegniamo a essere “seminatori di conoscenza”, cioè a divulgare e diffondere informazioni corrette e obiettive, senza alcuna presunzione, ma col desiderio di infondere nelle persone maggiore interesse per i comportamenti spesso sconosciuti o mistificati del Canis lupus italicus, raccontando con trasparenza e onestà storie, episodi, esiti di ricerche e di studi sul campo.
Noi, figli della Terra e fratelli di tutte le altre creature che la popolano, dobbiamo ricordarci che siamo esseri… umani.

WOLF FESTIVAL MANIFESTO by Brunella Pernigotti
We, creatures of and in Nature,
We, who live immersed in a contaminated and manipulated environment,
bow before the ancient wisdom of the Earth, before its powerful capacity to regulate and regenerate itself.
We recognize that the Earth and all its manifestations, whether animals, plants, or minerals, have a natural and legal right to exist.
We, as human beings, are not here to protect what does not truly belong to us, now or ever, but we must develop greater devotion and respect for the Earth, which is our mother, which is our home.
We of the Wolf Festival believe in a science that does not proclaim dogma, but is constant research and questioning, doubt, and curiosity. We believe that science should help all of us create collaboration, unity, and Never competition, accompanying us on a new path of awareness and awakening of consciousness.
We believe in and identify the wolf as the totemic symbol of wild, free, and strong nature. The wolf, like every top predator in the food chain, is the image of a healthy environment. It is the perfect tool that Nature uses to rebalance, to fill or reduce unnecessary spaces, it is the wise medicine to heal our ailing planet. Furthermore, the wolf is an animal to which humans owe massacres and unjust persecution, and it now deserves to be known and appreciated for its fundamental role in preserving the ecosystem in which it lives.
For all this, we are committed to being “sowers of knowledge,” that is, to disseminating accurate and objective information, without any presumption, but with the desire to instill greater interest in the often unknown or mystified behavior of Canis lupus italicus, by transparently and honestly sharing stories, episodes, and the results of research and field studies.
We, children of the Earth and brothers and sisters of all the other creatures that inhabit it, must remember that we are beings who must stay… human.
